Discover opportunities for growth and transformation through Strategic Planning.

Assess where your firm is today and where it should be in the future.

The strategic planning process is a chance to step back and take the long view of your A/E/C firm. It helps identify where you are currently, where you want to go, by when, and how you plan to get there. CVG guides firm leaders through this important process in three stages, culminating with an implementation plan that keeps your ideas fresh and actionable. Depending on your budget, we can conduct the visioning exercises at an on-site retreat or virtually. Contact us for a strategic planning proposal customized to your needs:

Discovery

First, we investigate and document where your firm is currently by:

  • Conducting a financial assessment and see how the firm compares to industry benchmarks.

  • Surveying your employees to understand their satisfaction with their work, the firm environment, and their compensation and benefits package.

  • Interviewing selected clients to gain their perspective on your brand and your firm’s alignment with their needs.

Visioning

Depending on your budget and needs, we can customize the visioning process as a one or two-day retreat, or even a virtual process. Individual interviews will be mixed with group exercises designed to elicit strategic thinking from all participants. At the end of visioning, we will clearly understand your five-year vision, and all firm leaders will confirm their commitment to that vision.

Planning

Using the information gathered up until this point, we will craft your plan. Draft mission and vision statements will be developed to help guide future decisions and strategic priorities will be documented.

Implementing

The value of your new strategic business plan will lie in its execution. The last step of our process is to develop an Implementation Plan and Year One Action Plan. This plan will guide you and your staff to reach your new vision. It will include:

  • Annual Financial Goals

  • Marketing & BD Strategy

  • Annual Operations Improvement Goals

The Plan will include an implementation timeline, goals will have metrics associated with them, and a leader responsible for each initiative will be identified.

CVG is also available for ongoing support with your implementation plan. At the end of the planning process, we can discuss if continued support is a good fit for your firm.
