How does your firm plan for revenue and expenses? Do you keep track of your expenditures relative to the fees you are bringing in? If you are “winging it” without a ProForma, you may be placing your firm at risk for cash shortfalls...or worse. Developing a simple, accurate ProForma worksheet gives firm leaders a tool that can help you adjust your budget based on expected and actual revenue. In this workshop, CVG’s CEO, Todd Reding, will show you how to build a custom ProForma worksheet that gives firm leaders greater control of your overall financial picture.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Learning Objective 1
Understand the basic components of a financial ProForma worksheet, and its value as a management tool.

Learning Objective 2
Learn how to break down incoming revenue and outgoing expenses correctly by category, including the (often incorrectly-used term) “Cost of Goods Sold.”

Learning Objective 3
See how past revenue and expense tracking informs future revenue and expense predictions.  View industry standards for percentages of expenses dedicated to basic categories.

Learning Objective 4
Learn basic budgeting techniques that will help you make fast expense adjustments to keep your firm in the black. Additionally, see typical expense allocations for small architecture firms to help you make smarter purchasing decisions.
